The position
As Team Lead Quality & Industrialization, you will be responsible for leading a team of Quality & Industrialization Engineers while driving manufacturing excellence across the organisation.
This is a role where people leadership and technical expertise come together. You'll help shape high-performing teams, optimise production processes and ensure that innovative products are successfully introduced into manufacturing with the highest quality standards.
Working closely with R&D, Operations and Supply Chain, you'll play a key role in bringing new technologies from concept to scalable production.
Responsibilities
As Team Lead Quality & Industrialization, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Quality & Industrialization Engineers.
- Creating a culture focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee development.
- Ensuring successful industrialisation of new products and smooth production ramp-ups.
- Improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality and reliability.
- Driving First-Time-Right production and reducing manufacturing risks.
- Defining and monitoring quality KPIs, including yield, defect rates and process capability.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives using structured quality methodologies.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and strategic suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Your experience
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent people management skills.
You bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing, SMT, PCBA or mechatronic production.
- A proven track record in leading engineering teams and developing talent.
- Experience with recruitment, coaching and performance management.
- Knowledge of quality methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D and DMAIC.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), industrialisation and production ramp-up.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
